Parkside Community School in Chesterfield has around 500 students aged 11-16. First Project

Ground cleared and greenhouse frame being erected.

Spring 2009. The main raised beds go round the south and east sides of the garden. Other raised beds were created centrally, the flags were laid around the fruit trees, a BBQ and table were built and an old bench rescued and renovated.

Jake, Julie and Matt with this year’s crop – and the partially painted raised beds and west facing raised beds, with the railway sleepers already painted.

Second Project: Third Project:

The as yet untended bed on the right hand side of the plot has a few good bushes and shrubs already established. The plan is to make this a wildflower/wildlife border.
